Accepted Items
Whale of a Sale accepts quality, current, clean, brand-name items in excellent condition. Please examine your items in good lighting.
Total Limit
A consignor may sell a total of 400 items. A consignor may only sell over this amount if they register a second consignor number.
The exception to this rule is consignors that achieve Top Seller status. A seller that becomes part of the Top Seller Club status will be allowed up to 500 items in the following sale.
Shoes Limit
Limited to 20 pairs of VERY clean, high quality shoes per consignor.
Upscale/designer women's shoes may also be sold.
Clothing Limit
140 total children’s hanging clothing items may be sold. Pieces may be combined on one hanger to make a set. The count does not include juniors (20) or women’s pieces (15 activewear, 10 womens).
Book Limit
A limit of 25 books. We suggest bundling books when applicable. Unsold books are automatically donated.
Dollar Amount
The minimum dollar amount of an item is $3. We suggest grouping items together such as books, hair accessories, and other appropriate pieces.

Maternity is no longer accepted due to very low sell through rate.
Girls Juniors size 16+ will be combined with the Women's Boutique section. Refer to new accepted brands list below, and new sizes in your consignor account dropdown.
Current upscale/designer women's shoes may be sold.

Unaccepted Items
Whale of a Sale will not accept items that are stained, outdated, out of season or not in working condition. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for the full list of unaccepted items. Items that do not meet our criteria will be removed from the sales floor and returned at consignor pick up, if not marked to be donated. We reserve the right to say "no thank you" after inspection.

- Games, puzzles, and crafts
- Stuffed animals: ONLY those that do something (move, music, talk with working batteries)
SPORTS EQUIPMENT, ACCESSORIES & OUTDOOR PLAY
- Biking: Bikes (kid and adult), bike racks, helmets, cycling accessories, child seats and trailers
- Outdoor fun: skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates, scooters, tricycles, kayaks, life jackets, pool rafts and floats, water tables, slides, houses, ride-on cars, pool toys
- Equipment: Cleats, balls, helmets, bats, tennis rackets, lacrosse and hockey sticks, practice nets, t-Ball stands, gloves, shin guards for all sports, skis
- Exercise: Ellipticals, treadmills, weights, DVDs, bands, bosu, mats, game tables: foosball, ping pong, and air hockey
- ADULT SIZED rackets, skis, skates, helmets, bikes, etc. are accepted
GEAR (HIGH DEMAND)
- Strollers, high chairs, pack and plays, exersaucers, swings, bouncy chairs, baby carriers, car seat BASES (no car seats)
- Breast pumps must be brand new or in excellent condition. No used pump parts accepted such as hoses and shields.
- Diaper Genies and Potty Seats/Chairs must be brand new in packaging ONLY
BABY/KIDS FURNITURE
- Changing tables, gliders, dressers, toddler beds and cribs manufactured after June 28, 2011. Cribs manufactured before June 28, 2011, may be consigned if the consignor provides a certificate of compliance from the manufacturer. Cribs that are unacceptable, for any reason, cannot be sold as toddler beds
DECOR & BRAND NEW BEDDING
- Limited to 5 pieces per consignor
- Decor to include canvas pictures, baskets, lamps and rugs. Non-child related knick knacks will not be accepted. Glass items accepted only if NEW in package.
- Bedding such as crib sheets and comforters, blankets, changing pad covers – must be BRAND NEW in packaging.
- Swaddles/sleep sacks in excellent condition are accepted.
- Crib bumpers or inclined sleepers NOT accepted – refer to “Safe Sleep for Babies Act”.

1) ACTIVEWEAR: Limit of 15 pieces SUGGESTED BRANDS: Lululemon, adidas, Athleta, Nike, Patagonia, Under Armour, Varley
2) JUNIORS CLOTHING/SIZE 16+: Limit of 20 pieces
SUGGESTED BRANDS: Abercrombie & Fitch, adidas, American Eagle, Aerie, Altar’d State, Dry Goods, H&M, Hollister, Nike, Nordstrom brands, Pacsun, Shein, Urban Outfitters, Under Armour, Zara and similar desirable teen brands.
3) WOMEN’S CLOTHING – Limit of 10 pieces DESIGNER/CURRENT FASHION ONLY: Suggested brands in CURRENT condition, are: Anthropologie brands, Boden, Evereve brands, J Crew, Madewell, Nordstrom and Saks brands, White House Black Market and any higher end designer brands

- DIRTY toys, furniture, or equipment or HAPPY MEAL TOYS
- Items that have been RECALLED
- Items UNRELATED to children and maternity
Clothing We are Unable to Accept
Items with stains, odors, tears, smoke or excessive wear.
- Vacation/camp type T-shirts/sweatshirts. Must be name brand.
- ONESIES unless brand new with tags, with an outfit, or a thicker piece. (no thin)
- SOCKS or UNDERWEAR unless brand new in packaging
- OUT OF SEASON – except sports wear and bathing suits accepted year round
